Michelob Hallertauer Mittelfrueh Hops...Usable?

Attended the Atlantic City Beer Festival this weekend and at the Michelob stand they were giving away 1/2 oz packages of Hallertauer Mittelfrueh hops. Being it was the last day of the fest the guy at the stand told me I could take as many as I wanted, so I stuffed as many as I could in my bag (ended up with 5 ozs!).

Anyway, the hops were not refrigerated at all (warm to the touch) but were in the reflective packaging to keep light out (not vacuum sealed). Any chance these hops are still usable? The package says they are 5.0% AA but I expect them to be around 3% due to the high hop stability index. (in the freezer right now)

Take an ounce of them and brew a couple gallons of Blonde Ale. See how they taste.

I assume they don't have the year on them?

I'd let one package sit at room temperature for an hour, and then open it. See how is smells and looks. If it smell good, and fresh without any "cheesy" notes, then I'd call it a win.
