That I should check out? Or any regional beers in general. Im coming from San Diego so im sure there are lots that ive never had.

If you were going to the mountains I would have a couple, but no idea for the coastal area.

There is Outer Banks Brewing Station which I've sampled a couple times and thought were overall decent. I think they have a few brewpubs on the Outer Banks and one brewery location, but I don't recall where exactly. You'll be close to Roanoke Island so I would check out The Weeping Radish in Manteo which is a German style restaurant and brewery. Again, not incredible beer, but solid and worth a lunch or dinner.

Not on the Outer Banks, but you'll likely see Duck Rabbit from Farmville, NC which is an Eastern NC brewery that I like a lot. They consider themselves "dark beer specialists" and an amber ale is the lightest they make. I like all of their beers.

If you see Azalea Brewing Co from Wilmington I'd avoid it...heavy DMS.

I visited a brewery/restaurant at Kill Devil Hills a year or so back. It wasn't too far from the Wright Bros. Memorial Park. It's located on the main stretch of highway that runs North and South on the Outer Banks. Decent beer but not a wide selection and the lunch was good.

I've dined at the Weeping Radish as well. Same review as the Baron's above.

You can always hit the "Brew Thru" drive-thru beer stores....they're still around aren't they?

I hit up the Weeping Radish and OBX Brewery. Weeping Radish was very good. OBX Brewery wasnt bad, but nothing special.

Brew threw does still exist, and on every corner it seems. Picked up some Magic hat since I never get it in San Diego.

One awesome thing at Weeping Radish - you can get a really nice liverworst sandwich, thick with liverwurst and a nice thick slice of sweet onion -- goes great w/any cold beer IMO, and it screams "VACATION LUNCH!"
