rogue disappointment

I bought a six pack of rogues juniper pale ale the other day. I was disappointed when i didn't notice any juniper taste at all. I've heard from other people that its usually a very juniper forward beer. And since i don't see a date I'm not sure if its just old (the store i bought it from only started selling beer for a month or two). So I was wondering if anyone else here has had this kind of experience with this beer.
