Trying to put together my first recipe for an American wheat beer. I enjoy Magic Hat's Circus Boy so I'm trying to brew something close to that. I'd like to stay away from the banana/clove taste and so far I've come up with this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mash Temp: 153 for 60 minutes
Batch Sparge 168 for 10 minutes

5.00 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 57.14 %
3.50 lb Wheat Malt, Ger (2.0 SRM) Grain 40.00 %
0.25 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 80L (80.0 SRM) Grain 2.86 %
0.25 oz Amarillo Gold [8.20 %] (60 min) Hops 7.8 IBU
0.25 oz Amarillo Gold [8.20 %] (30 min) Hops 6.0 IBU
1.00 oz Lemongrass (Boil 5.0 min) Misc (maybe just .5 oz)
1 Pkgs American Wheat Ale (Wyeast Labs #1010)

14 IBU
6 SRM

You might want to switch the amounts between the pale and the wheat.

Wheat beers usually have more wheat than barley.

Your absolutley right. Just changed it in Beersmith.

The banana/clove will come from using German Hefe yeast. You can use American Hefe but regular Cal Ale will do just as well.

Not had Circus Boy, so I don't know if that's where the C80L and the lemongrass come from. The Amarillo will be nice.
