Just popped open my first all grain brew. A simcoe/ Amerillo IPA. A nice clean floral hop aroma and very clear beer. Only 2 weeks since bottling and already a 1.5" head when pouring and consistent .25" head throughout drinking the beer.

I am so proud of myself :rockin: .

Whats the recipe? Ive got a similar apa with simcoe/amarillo and its a really good combo.

congrats man!

I recently did my first all grain beer... german wheat beer. 70% wheat and 30% pale two row with Weihenstephan Wyeast.

Anyway, i get to open one on saturday, exactly two weeks since bottling. Suddenly, 5 days seems like a really long time!!! Im exited!!

Congrats~!!

It's actually an APA recipe but I just beefed up the hops.

Grains:
10lbs US 2-row
.5lbs Biscuit malt
.5lbs crystal 55L

Hops
Amarillo
Simcoe

.75oz each @ 60
.25oz ea. @30
.25oz ea @15
.25oz ea @5
Irish Moss @ 10

dry hopped with .25oz each

Definatly a keeper.
It will be hard to not "sample" it before the week is out. I should let it mature a little bit longer, but its so darn good.
