I tasted my Holy Grail tonight when racking to the secondary. Batch #13 MUCH better than batch #12, mainly because I wasn't drunk when I measured out the grain. :eek:

This is REALLY close to what I want. I know I need to let'er age out to be certain, but I think I'm a batch or two away from being done with this recipe.

The next step is to up the molasses a teeeeny bit. I used 3 oz this time, but I think 4 or 5 should do it.

I'm unofficially nick-naming this one "Paul Brown Porter".

Hell, they used to make proters with just about anything they could find.
