Finish brewing my Hoegaarden White last night and its in the primary now.
1/2 lb aromatic malt
1/2 lb flaked wheat
1/4 lb flaked oates
7 lb wheat extract
1oz kent golding
1 oz saaz
orange and corriendar at 15 and 5 mins
yeast fuel the last 10 mins
belgian wit ale 400
OG = 1.054

After sharing my Blue Moon clone with a buddy, he convinced me to try this instead. I got some from the store, and gotta say, I agree with him....its much nicer than BM. The Hoegaarden is cleaner but still has the flavor.

did you you use fresh orange zest?

gonna brew this up soon too. looks very close to my recipe. and i agree this is MUCH better than BM. BM was my "gateway" beer into craft beers, but after drinking so much real wit, I can even drink a full BM anymore.
