My apologies, new to forum, I'm sure this post has been done already. But this worries me.

I love hops but I love my T cuz I'm a man. What to do? Sure I get health benefits from hops but is it worth a limp D?

Never heard of this, but I've been drinking hoppy beers for 5 years and don't have any trouble getting it up. What's your source for this correlation between hops and estrogen?

WOW...

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1852439/
"Hops, the resinous inflorescences of the twining vine Humulus lupulus L. (Cannabaceae), are used today primarily for their bitter and aromatic properties in the manufacture of beer. In addition, hop preparations are sold in health-food stores in the U.S. for the treatment of anxiety and insomnia, and are sold in pharmacies in Europe (Anon., 2002), and formerly in pharmacies in the U.S. (Anon., 1946), for these purposes. Hops have been shown to contain one of the most potent in vitro estrogenic substance known from the plant kingdom,"

However, this site say's:

http://jcem.endojournals.org/content/84/6/2249.abstract
"This phytoestrogen can also be detected in beer, but the levels are low and should not pose any cause for concern."

(-whew-)

Why would adding estrogen lower testosterone?

Ridiculous!

I am a dedicated hop over-doser. No problem with anything limp (except when not in use) my beard grows in so flipping fast it pisses me off at least once a week.

I'm pretty sure this is all myth. I've been drinking IIPAs for a while now so I can grow my own pair of "Tigolbitties" and nothing has happened so far.

So those green pills I get at the home brew store aren't vitamins? Wondered why the shirts were tighter in the chest lately.
:ban:

ok so every man of age has heard the wife say no not tonight you will take too long you've been drinking. it seems the hops may be why, damn it that pisses me off. i love hops

HMMM... Well there are no hops in Whiskey. So when I overundulge with some Dickel, and get the excuse....

Well I hope your intelligent enough to see where I'm going and that the common factor between beer and whiskey is not hops. Just saying.

That would be a good field study.
Drink 6 pack of hoppy beer, and time how long it takes to "finish"
Drink 6 pack of non-hopped beer, maybe some herb beer, and time how long it takes to "finish"
Has to be the same chick. Same positions and such.
Any takers? I'm married so it takes forever when I'm sober even.

Wood aged liquors have a good amount of phyto estrogens in them. On the other hand so do lots of normal foods.
