I accidentally dropped my refractometer in a sink full of water. I grabbed it immediately, but now I see condensation on the inside of the eye piece. Is it toast? Do I have to buy a new one?

I don't know if you'll have to buy a new one, BUT on of the best tricks for rescuing small electronics that have gotten wet, like cellphones dropped in the toilet, is to fill a container with rice and bury the object in it for a couple of day, and leave it in a warn dry place. The rice evidently pulls the moisture out of every crevice. It's worth a try. I'd fill a gallon ziplock with rice and stick it in there.

Good luck.
