When I married her (20+ year ago) she was strickly a Bud drinking - nasty swill that it is. My first round of homebrewing about 10 years ago met with her mixed approval -most of which was "it's to strong." I'd roll my eyes and say, "well, guess I'll just have to drink it all myself then." Yeah, it was terrible of course. Last night I cracked open a bottle of (commerical) IPA and offer her a taste. She loved it. Guess I'd better get used to sharing. LOL Even better, good excuse to brew twice as much!

That's a problem in my house too. IPAs are my wife's drink of choice and she loves almost everything I do.

I still have my Barleywines that she leaves alone! :ban:

I'm just starting to MAYBE get there.

SWMBO finally asked me a month ago to try my hand at an Apple Ale.

Since I'll be buying it, brewing, and bottling I told her not to get upset when I drink it.

haha. I guess I'm one of the (un)lucky ones.

SWMBO hates beer. it's either Smirnoff malt beverages or wine.

I'm going to try an apfelwein and maybe a pomegranate/blueberry mead and try to slowly lure her to the dark side.
