Aw, gezz, DWHAHB. But....
I have been doing all grain for a few years, use a picnic cooler for a mash/laughter tun, think (thought) I have got a good handle on good technique for mash/sparge. My last brew was an attempt to simulate Oberon (I know, one cannot find the holy grail) but I used the following grain bill:
5# brewers malt, 2-row
2# Munich (light), 2-row
2# white wheat malt
1# Caralpils - 6 row

So I ended up with a OG of 1.041. Given the 10# of grain, I think that should have been higher?? Does the wheat or munich give less yield than standard malt?

Ah, well, spring is around the corner and the Oberon release date is upon us!

If you don't know what I am talking about with the Oberon thing, a)you don't live in Michigan and b) if you help me with this I will send you some!!

Oberon is a great beer! You did not list your mash schedule but when I mash wheat I usually do a two-step mash, no it does not convert as readily as 2-row
