What can be expected from using pilsner malt with pale male ale recipes? I don't plan on lagering yet but have some pilsner malt I plan to use in part on Bier Muncher's Sterling Gold.

ive used pilsener on biermunchers blonde (all i had at the time). i think it adds a lighter malt flavor but also its a little more complex flavor:tank:

Pilsner malt has a different flavor and lighter color than regular 2 row malt. If you're adding a lot of adjuncts you may not taste the pilsner malt flavor so much, but will still get the color(or lack of it)

One thing to keep in mind- wort made with pilsner malt tends to produce more DMS, so try to always do a 90 minute boil when you use pilsner malt!

YooperBrew- that was some great info about the boiling time. I am making a kolsch today and now I know how long to boil it. thanks
