OK, I want to do an extract version of this one:

11.00 lb Brewers Malt 2-Row (Briess) (1.8 SRM) Grain 64.7 %
2.50 lb Munich Malt (9.0 SRM) Grain 14.7 %
1.50 lb Brown Malt (65.0 SRM) Grain 8.8 %
1.00 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt -120L (120.0 SRM) Grain 5.9 %
0.50 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L (40.0 SRM) Grain 2.9 %
0.50 lb Chocolate Malt (350.0 SRM) Grain 2.9 %

Am I correct in thinking that I could substitute 7.7 lbs. of light DME for the 11 lbs. of 2-row, and then do the other grains as a partial mash?

I'm not sure the munich will have enough enzymes to convert the brown malt. I would recommend including a few pounds of 2 row in the partial mash (as much 2 row as you can within the confines of your partial mashing system) and replace the balance of the 2 row with extract.

i would recheck the amounts, i think you have an incorrect recipe. i think chocolate is suppose to be 1.25 pounds, and munich is 3. i forget the others

actually everythng looks correct except up the chocolat to 1.25
