So I opened up the keezer this morning to drop the PSI back down on a couple of kegs I was carbonating and I got a strong beer smell when I opened the lid. That's weird - beer is supposed to be in the kegs, right?

Well, not today. There is about 2" of beer in the bottom of my keezer. I haven't figured out what happened yet but does this happen to anyone else? This is the second or third time I've mopped up a ton of beer from the keezer.

Sounds like your beer post has a leak. Either through the poppet or between the dip tube and post.

I had the same problem awhile ago. Swapped out the poppets and that solved it.

Try to find out where the leak is coming from and then go from there.

Was the liquid QD attached? If so, you can rule out the poppet. In that case it's most likely the liquid out post o-ring. But it could be the QD or even the tubing around the barb.

If you forget the o ring on the lid it makes an amusing noise when you gas up. Ask me how I know.
