So I bought three keggles and two had triclamps welded. Long story short I brought them by my local homebrew store and he can't find the size to get proper connectors. Says they're smaller than the smallest he can get.

So just to end this headache, I want to start over and make all three camlocks. I have a welder that can do it. What am I buying to have him weld to the keggle after he removes the triclamp?

Also, what am I buying to setup my three keggle system? I have hose and the size escapes me at the moment

Thanks in advance

Post a pic and I can probably tell you what size. Working in the Pharma industry, we use these everywhere!

It's a bit hard to tell from the pics, but from photo keg34 it looks like a 1-1/2 triclamp.

This is a handy reference to determine sizes: http://www.gvc.net/docs/gvc_doc_00004.pdf

1" and 1-1/2" triclamp fittings use the same clamp. The gaskets are different though as you'll notice in the link above.

Here's another good reference with some pics of 1" and 1-1/2" ferrules. If you measure the flange and the pipe ID/OD you should be able to figure out what size you have.

Ill check that out.

If someone could chime in if I still decide to go camlocks that would be great

Tri-Clamp is best but if you don't mind taking things appart further it probably doesn't matter that much. I'd stay with the tri-clamp if thats whats there already.
