Looking for some advice on which jellotin to use and how to use it in a 5 gallon car boy

Skip on the gelatin. There are easier ways to clarify.

I use Whirlfloc in all my beers except those containing a good % of wheat. Each tablet costs about $0.20.

I then make sure that each beer sits at fridge temps for at least 2 weeks before serving.

Those two things alone lead to crystal clear beer!

If you have your heart set on gelatin, check out this thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f13/how-do-you-use-gelatin-finings-129881/

I always put a whirlfloc tablet in but i forgotthis time would it hurt to add it while i am dry hopping?

We've been using the isinglass powder and turning out really clear beers lately. But then again, we started using it when we started kegging so it could also have something to do with storing at that cold temperature.

i just let it sit in primary for 1 month, then in keg for 2 weeks to carb.. always seems to be nice and clear.. though if patience isn't your forte then that wouldn't help you at all

Just sitting at fridge temps for 3-4 weeks before serving will give you a ton of clarity just by itself, if you are concerned on this batch.
