Going for a nice summer brew here with somewhat balanced flavor. Here it goes:

8.5# Am. 2-row
1# German light wheat malt
.5# American Vienna
.25# flaked maize

.5 oz centennial at 8.5%AA (60 min)
.4 oz Ahtanum @ 4.5% (20 min)
.4 oz Ahtanum @4.5% (2 min)

Wyeast 1272 Am Ale II

mash at 151 for 60 min...fly sparge...boil 90 min...primary ferment 7-10, secondary 7-10 with cold crash last 3 days....keg with 2.3 vol CO2 sit 2 weeks.

Let me know what yous think!!!

I don't know the specifics right now, but I classified it as a blonde ale on beer tools and the style was 100% compliant with this recipe.

If my memory serves me correct...OG was predicted at 1.051....IBU was 23.9, and color is very light.

What is BU/GU ratio?

beersmith says 20 IBUs, and 1.056 finishing at 5.5% ABV. Ratio is .345 IBU/SG.

Sounds pretty nice. I'd drink it.

the ratio is a loose estimate of maltiness vs. hoppiness. i.e. a higher number is a hoppier beer, a lower number is a maltier beer. It's not super reliable, since there are other factors involved.
