seen a few threads regarding using chamomille flowers... anyone use the tea leaves themselves? if so, how much?

cheers

I have before in a Wit. Just make sure the tea you are using is ONLY chamomile. As far as amounts it is very, very little....like 1/10 ounce

I put in an entire box if tea bags in a white IPA at flame out and it turned out great but it took a lot to compete with all those hops.

i use 1-2 grams (in 20L wort) for a wit, i have seen that some people here use 10x that amount though. i use loose flowers, bought bulk at a tea shop for very cheap, and put them in a hop bag, for the last 5 minutes of the boil. works great

A local brewpub called Evil Czech in culver indiana has a chamomile wheat that is very good, nice floral and spice tones.
