Irish Car Bomb Stout with Extract??

I saw the long thread about the car bomb stout with all grain...is there a way to make an extract recipe??

There are a couple ways.

1- Ask if someone on the post would be willing to translate for you.

2- Do it yourself. The rule of thumb is to proportion extract per grain. You cannot do this with specialty grains, so you'll need to have a partial mash.

1# grain= .75# LME (liquid)
1# grain= .67# DME (dry)

Ex 4#pale 2 row=3# pale LME
OR
6#pale 2 row=4# DME

would it be possible to get an Irish Stout extract kit and then add the vanilla and other flavors at the right time??

That recipe should be mashed due to the flaked oats and Vienna and the pale.

As for your earlier question, you can buy an extract Irish stout kit and add vanilla and spices. I don't use either of these much, but possibly the best method would to create a 'potion': steep them both in vodka and add the vodka in secondary or at bottling.

For it to be a car bomb stout don't you need some roasted barley for a wiskey note? And something to cream it up for a mouth feel?
