anyone know where I might buy some 12 oz cobalt blue bottles? I know about keeping them out of the light, etc. I keep my beer in the case and in the basement while conditioning. I just really like the look. I've seen 16 and 22 oz but have not found anyone selling the 12's.

I picked up a few cases of the cobalt bottles from Midwest. I thought it was a good deal.
Definitely keep them out of the light, though. The cobalt glass is going to let the light get through, unless you want skunky beer.

Basic takeaway: Blue is even worse than green. "Note that the green and especially blue are inefficient at filtering the higher energy UV light (less than ~ 400 nm)."

There's a thread around here about removing the paint from the Cobalt Blue bottles from Midwest. Fill the bottles with water (for displacement) and immerse them in C-L-R. This will remove the paint and in most cases will not leave a "shadow". I have done this with great satisfaction.
