So there it is... Did a lot of research on it, couldn't find a date. I scored it off craigslist for $70

That handle was just a tester... i bought a lathe to start turning, and decided to test it out with a tap handle. Not too bad If I do say so..

Thats all I've got for now. Ill post more once I finish my clear coat of paint. I still have to re-insulate the inside door, put in a new door gasket, and put it all together... Not to mention, drink a beer.

So I've been doing some more work. Here is the beginning of one of the handles, and I added an embellishment the the bottom of the door, and a drip tray.

What do you think?

This is really the first of any "restoring" that I have ever done. And also the first thing I have made on a lathe since I was in about 8th grade...

Shortly after I bought this and started working on it I realized that I cannot fit a 1/2, but should be able to fit 2 1/6's... It was a little bit of a buzz kill....

Have more paint to do, I'll post more pics soon.

Looks great! Where did you get the emblem for the bottom? I would love one for my vintage kegerator. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/vintage-kegerator-282345/
I can actually fit 3 1/6 barrels or 3 cornys in mine. I had a "hotpoint" fridge at one time and while the rest of the kitchen line got the hotpoint name I thought the fridges got branded as coldpoint or coldspot or something like that. Anyway, good work!

I actually got it off etsy. The store name is steelhouttes. The guys name is Matt, he was a huge help. He custom made it for me using a font I picked. He was a really cool guy to talk to, and very well priced. I attached that and the drip tray using some super strong magnets.

It is actually "hot point". There is a little resin emblem that I'm trying to figure out how to strip the paint off of to repaint that has the name. It fits in a metal piece that attaches at the top where the holes you can see are.

I actually have seen your kegerator before. Ironically enough, I have the picture you posted in that post in a folder on my desktop labeled "kegerator inspiration". No joke.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked my kegerator. Yours is nice too. Love the two tone paint! Thanks for the link, I'll have my wife look up the etsy seller, she buys stuff there frequently.
