Put together a batch of wheat beer tonight. I put vodka in the airlock. Had to move the bucket and the vodka drained into the bucket. Am guessing this is not too much of a problem, right ?

How can I prevent this in the future ? I may need to move this thing one more time tomorrow.

As always,
Thanks

Doug

Vodka going in is no problem. Like previous poster said, remove airlock before you move it.

Thank you for your responses. I've got a nice amount of activity in the airlock now, 16 hrs after brewing. Thanks !

Changes in temperature can also cause the airlock liquid to get sucked into the carboy. No big deal if the airlock is filled with vodka.
