Last year as my friends and I were camping out at the race track after a day of practice racing motorcycles for the races the next day we were drinking beer and bbqing in the pits. i was telling em how i started to brew beer. After some talk i was to make the Turn 4 Omega IPA. Turn 4 at willow springs international raceway is in the shape of an Omega.

This is my first recipe, after brewing much recipes here this is my first. trying to make an IPA little sweet with lots of flavor/aroma finish. whatcha think?

i used Qbrew to come up with this.

I like the Hop schedule, but I think you have too much Crystal. I would cut back the Honey Malt and the 40L to a Half pound each, that should give you the sweetness that your looking for, witout giving the hops so much to compete against. I'm not sure about S-04 since I've never used before, but I would lean towards one of the American ale yeasts,WLP001,S-05 or Wyeast 1056.

so anyways.... i mashed at 154 and instead of the 1/2 oz comulbus FWH i did 1 oz at 60 min.

fermented 7 days at 66-68 degrees. transferred to secondary and added dryhops
my og was 1.063 and fg is 1.011. 6.9% abv!

it tasted great! a nice slight sweetness to it and the hops are somewhat of that a citrius ipa. so far so good!
