This is only my second shot at formulating my own recipe so I'd like to get some feedback. Especially regarding the crystal malt. I wasn't sure if the amount I have is too much. Here is what I have going so far for my grain bill. This will be a partial mash.

2.75# Pale Malt (2-row)
2# Munich Malt
.75# Crystal 20L
.44# Crystal 60L

6.2# Pale LME

I'd say its too much crystal, but thats cuz extract already includes carapils and I don't like using much crystal in my IPAs. there are some that use even more that are really good tho if you want it: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f69/biermunchers-outer-limits-ipa-87310/

I'm still trying to learn the flavor characteristics of the different grains. I still haven't pinpointed exactly what the crystal brings to the beer. I know I do like the Munich though.
