Hey guys, I am considering doing a late extract edition for my next batch. I have searched through several threads, but I am too new to fully understand the details.

Here's my Recipe (Liberty Cream Ale):
-6 pounds Gold LME
-8 oz Carapalis Specialty Grains
-2 bags of Cascade Pellet Hops, 1 ounce each (AA 5.4%) = 2oz total
-Target IBU 33.4
-Partial boil, 3 gallons. Then add the final 2 gallons at the end.

I am planning on adding half of the LME initially, to provide sugar and improve hops utilization. Then, the last half at the end of the boil (15 minutes before the end of the boil).

For the hops, I am planning on adding 1 ounce directly (no muslin bag), boil for 60 minutes. Then add the last 1 ounce the last 2 minutes of the boil.

Is there anything I need to do differently?

Thanks in advance for your help.

No real difference except don't forget to take the pot off the burner when you add your second addition of malt to prevent scorching. Have fun!
