I was just cleaning my new bottling bucket and discovered something really greasy, clear and odorless on the inside of the spicket. It is not washing out easily.
Is this some kind of lube?
I did have a container of StarSan leak in the shipment but I didn't think any got in there.

It wouldn't be Star-San, that is darker in color and has an odor. Likely it is a food-grade lubricant like wilserbrewer said. If it's greasy and has no smell it's probably the same stuff I use, and it won't hurt anything. I'd try to get it out with a paper towel or something and rinse it with soapy water if there is a lot of it, but it's not harmful. Keg lube is a little hard to get off sometimes, especially if you get it on your hands. It leaves a kind of sticky/greasy ick feeling if you don't get it off.

(Spelling is spigot by the way.)
