Like many, I have found that the exact model Love Temp controller listed on Lonnie's build sheet is no longer in production.

I am looking at this one at Dwyer, https://www.dwyer-inst.com/Product/Temperature/TemperatureSwitches/DigitalPanelMount/SeriesTS

Just curious if this will suffice?

Also, will the corresponding temp probes serve the same purpose they need to in the Brutus style system? Here is a link for them.

I am lost on this so please don't rake me over the coals.

Yeah that's the same one as I listed. It looks damn near identical to the one in the Brutus build sheet but no one ever comments. I'm ordering it. Hopefully it works out I guess.

I've ordered the same one. From what I've gathered it works the same but wires up a bit differently. You do not need switches on the input and output of the controller (I might be wording that wrong, as I am far from an electrical genius)

Im using the SYL-1512A, once I figured it out it works good this kind of control was foriegn to me, luckly I had a friend that is a programer.

Does that SLY1512A have ability to take a thermal probe?

Yes, it has Thermocouple, or RTD capability and Alarm capability, I use it with my RIMS tube, works, but for a few dollars more go with the SYL-2362 it has the dual LCD readout, easier to see both temps wish I had done this first. I will get the SYL-2362 and use the other one for my HLT at a later date.

So two of the SYL-2362 would be more than enough for the HLT and Mash tun, correct? This will allow me to use gas valves on my HLT and Mash tun burner as I understand.

I just want to make sure my parts will work.

Yes, If you are doing a direct fire mash, I went with the RIMS, (works great)
I didnt do the gas valves just yet cost too much right now. If you sign up to Auberins site they will answer your questions and are quite quick about it.
