I made a hose water filter today for under $25.

Bought a shower-head filter, which claims to remove about 76% of chlorine taste and odor. Also got a brass Hose-to-Faucet piece, and a small PVC connector for the bottom of the filter. Really pumps out a lot of water, and it really does remove the "hose water" taste.

Cheese could you list parts and what not I am looking to make a water filter. thanks

edit: i meant the brand of the filter.

Pick up the Omni whole house filter at Walmart for $27 and get 3/4 MPT to Hose male and female adapters. It should be just over $30 and you'll have a unit that accepts replacement cartridges at only $4.50 a pop. Another bene is that it has way more carbon so you can run it faster.
