Alright friends, got my brew kit in the mail today and just looking it over and I don't think I have all the items that I ordered. However before I call them and ask them to send me more stuff I want to know what it is before so I don't look extremely dumb.

Alright, so the kit was supposed to include the following items...

5 gallon carboy, check
Carboy cap, check
fermentation lock, check
Fermometer,
Bottling bucket with spigot, check
racking cane, check
siphon tubing, check
twin lever capper, check
Hydrometer and test jar, check
bottle filler,
Five Star Cleaning Kit, check
The Complete Joy of Homebrewing book check
Ingredients for 5 gallons of delicious homebrewed beer. check

So, what is a fermentor and what does it look like. This also goes for a bottle filler, what is it and what does it look like?
Thanks

Okay, looked it over. I have a thermometer but I don't think I have a bottle filler... The filler has to have a valve on it right, a siphoning tube isn't the same thing correct?

The bottle filler that most likely comes with the kit is of the 3/8" variety, which will have a valve on one end that looks like this: http://www.kenblair.com/homebrew/images/BottleFiller.jpg

if it is of the 1/2" variety, the valve will look something like this: http://www.stompthemgrapes.com/53931622.jpg
