just ordered similar here http://www.aliexpress.com/item/5-IN-1-100-240VAC-PID-Temperature-controller-set-thermostat/630010631.html probe seems better. they can get bad reviews cause I think many different company makes copy and nobody knows which one is good and which one sucks. So basically it's hit or miss. But I'm taking a chance at that price.
Just doesn't make sense to spend a couple hundred dollars on these items when you can get them from China for $25!

Not sure if it matters or not, but I didn't see that it did Fahrenheit. Implies to me that it is in Celsius.

A little conversion table taped to the side of your control panel will do the trick. If we can save over 20$ it's a small price to pay to get used to celcius.

I have no experience with them as I use a BCS, but yeah they sound totally awesome. There have been many many posts about this. My observation is that they seem to be popular only with the tightest of the tight wads. They sound like a complete time hole to me compared to just buying one from auberins.

You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else.

Change American's to homebrewers and you get the picture. ;)

There is plenty of commentary about them on Jim's Beer Kit and some other UK sites. You might even be able to turn up some documentation. Personally I think if you are going to spend an extra $20 anywhere in your controller build it would be quality probes number 1, PID controller number 2, and the best place to save money is by using a recycled breaker panel to put the thing in.
