I was wondering if someone could estimate what my OG was? I forgot to measure it and am wondering what my abv might be.

I'm using a Munton's bock beer kit which is supposed to have an OG of 1.040-1.044, and then I added 3 lbs of DME. what would that bring the gravity up to?

If I remember correctly, a Munton's kit will tell you to use corn sugar along with the extract. Did you replace the recommended corn sugar with the DME? Or did you do corn sugar + DME?

the kit just said "add sugar or malt if you desire" but never recommended a specific amount. I happened to have the 3#DME on hand, so I added it in. I only had about .25lb of sugar, but I still added that as well.

if you know your ingredient list there is a formula to predict your finish and starting gravity.
