bottling after kegging and carbing

Is it possible to carbonate the beer in a keg to the proper level and then bottle it into bottles, thus avoiding the whole sugar and bottle bomb issue?

Has anyone tried this? If not, I might just have to be the first one

I just wonder if it would hold the carbonation in the bottles.....

Hey dune did you have to modify your racking tube in order to bottle and if so how did you do it?

BierMuncher posted a great thread titled "we no need no stinking beer gun". I used his method - worked great, and is much easier/quicker than it might sound at first.

anyone have experience bottling from a pressurized young's keg? any tips?

I just bottles two kegs with a Blichman Beer Gun and it was seamless and easy. There was no waste and the product was great. I hated to fork over the bucks for this but it has been well work it.
