Hi all, What Wyeast would you recconmend for a coopers irish stout? I was going to make a starter with 200 g of brewing sugar.:mug:

i've always heard that you should use malt extract for the starter. there are reasons for this.

+1 on malt extract. Usual reasoning is that you don't want to train your yeast on simple sugars... Ruins their appetite for the real meal.
