I have 2 plants that are 3 years old I need to move next spring. When I move them should I plan on trimming the roots? also i will be moving them to the side of my house and building some raised beds with brick one plant per bed. Does anyone have any info on how big I should make these beds? I will be planting 10 2 year plants and the 3 years plants.

I'm pretty sure you won't have a choice about trimming the roots, these things spread like crazy. You can just move the crown or trim off rhizomes...

I plant around four feet apart and it works for me. You will also be able to get alot of Rhizomes from 3 yo plants. Most of the roots left in the ground will come back up in the old location ot in the area. It is amazing how far the roots go laterally. Good luck with it and do it early in the year for better success.
