Probably the best selection I have had at one time since I don't save and consume fresh....

Tried getting Hopslam today.... Apparently sells out in a day or 2 at BevMo..... Lucky Bastard.....

Great selection - love the Nugget. Also down to my last case of Heady so a toad trip is coming soon! Have you tried Lagunitas Sucks?

I tried their brown shugga substitute, it was very interesting, pretty good....

I am along time nugget nectar lover. I recently had hop slam and wow what a beer. I can't get hop slam near me so am jealous of you being able to get both! Enjoy fresh!

Can't speak about MA but around here you have to reserve it ahead of time. I don't think any stores ever put it on the shelf - demand is too hgh and supply way too low.

This year's Hopslam is beyond great.

One of the great things about living in the backwater Missouri town known as Rolla: we have a beyond legit beer shop that gets Hopslam, and I've been able to get a 6 pack every year since I turned 21. The past two years it's still been in the case boxes that just got dropped off by the distributor when I went to get it. Some things about small towns still ring true.

Local bar by me has two specials this week...Nugget Nectar(4.25) and Hopslam(6.00). Not cheap, but at least I can get em. Now if only I had access to some Heady, life would be good.

Flying Fish Hopfish, from your home state of NJ, is another tasty brew I wish I could find more easily down here.

This is a world class Jersey IPA

Hopfish is my 4th favorite NJ IPA, maybe lower I'm not sure. But it's for sure behind Carton 077XX (well technically an IIPA which is true of Hop Wallop as well), Cricket Hill Hopnotic, and Riverhorse Hop-a-lot-amus

I picked up a 6 pack of nugget nectar yesterday. This is my first time having it, and must say, it's pretty tasty! My only complaint is I felt it could have used a bit more carbonation. The three I've had thus far had a nice head, but it quickly went away and it was almost flat within minutes. Not sure if this is how it is supposed to be. Either way, aroma and taste are outstanding!

Too bad I couldn't snag any hopslam this year...

where'd you get the HT and do you have any left to trade?? :)

Do other beers do a similar thing?

I've heard that about NN but I haven't had it in a bit. Also carbonation doesn't have to do with head retention. I want to try NN in the IPA glass though, ssee if that boosts the flavor.

Also on the topic of NN, best I ever had was on Firkin, beers are really not meant to be enjoyed near freezing, I love 55°F beer. It makes me so happy.

:eek:No wonder they can't move them!

I recently picked up a sixer and it was 20$! I about crapped! I thought it was good, but not worth 3.50$ a bottle. I'll just have to brew my own!

On topic, I need to try some of those others. I am quickly turning into a hop head. Damn HBT...

That low carbonation was just a first impression and I don't remember if it was the same level with the other two bottles. I'll make note tonight when I have another bottle.

I also read some reviews online and I found a few that mentioned "mild carbonation" so I assume that's the way it's supposed to be. Either way, it's delicious!

For future reference:
Batch: 130103
Bottled: 1/24/13

And now the nugget porn...

Here in Indiana a 6er or HopSlam is 11 bux! Our state sucks but we've got a lot of great beer!

So I just drank another nugget nectar. Carbonation seems perfectly fine. The first one that I had wasn't that cold (I was excited to try it!) and may caused the flat review.

I'm down to my last case of HT - may need another 150 minute drive next week to get some more. I need to try hopslam so more then willing to trade!

On another note - has anyone tried Stone Enjoy By? I believe it's a new batch of their "end of the world" IPA. Absolutely delicious (and more 22 oz bottles to use later!)
