Tasting Notes
A typical Northwest X-Mas beer, this is basically a strong brown ale.
I wanted to try Palisade hops and so concocted this guy. There's a lot of earthy character from the EKGS, with a lot of spice from the Palisades and Cascades in the flavor. Complex beer. Very malty too. Aroma has a lot of bread and some caramel with a touch of chocolate malt and some earthy hops. Very full mouthfull with some alcohol evident. A strong but very clean bittering that lingers long. Finish is medium dry with a lot of toast and bitterness.

Quite happy with this one.

Been drinking a lot of this one lately and it's great! Love it. Fits in with Northwest Christmas ales nicely. I love that combination of EKGs with Cascades. I'm going to re-brew this for May Day and am so happy with it that I'll leave it mostly the same. Gonna try it with Wyeast 1028 this time though.

I'd say this is my favorite of the last 14 batches (that I've brewed since I've been in Croatia).
