I live in NYC and have limited space I was unable to brew over the summer due to a lack of an air conditioning where my fermentaters are. I was super excited about making a Pumpkin Ale. I'm not sure if it was my excitement or the number of brews I drank but things didn't go the way they were meant to.There was a bunch of smaller mishaps such as putting the spices in at the wrong time, forgetting to save some of the pumpkin for the boil and I almost forgot to put the yeast in the primary. Anyway, my wort chiller decided to spring a leak around the hose connector, water spewed all over my floor. I'm slipping and sliding around trying to fix it. My girlfriend heard the commotion and comes into the kitchen.
Me: "Baby can you run to the store and get me a sh** ton of ice".
Her: "How much is a sh** ton?"
Me: " Enough to cool the wort to reduce the risk of infection and oxidation"
Her: "What wort? like on your toe?"
Me: "As much as you can carry, GO!"

I ended up not needing the ice by fixing the problem on the chiller shortly after she left.

I'm convince that this beer is going to be awesome!
