I am in the middle of a test boil with my keggle and new burner ( burner sucks BTW imo) anyay I wanted to do a one hour boil to check boil off volume. I just got a phone call and have to leave here in a few minutes. I cannot finish the hour. Can I do a half hour and just double the volume or am I missing something?

You can do that. I usually do a 15 minute test and quadruple the amount lost.

If it's just a test boil why do you care? But I would just throw a lid on it to keep it from evaporating while you are away.
