What is floating in my beer?

I brewed a ESB a week ago and used whirlfloc for the first time. When I opened the fermenter I saw this.

It doesnt taste sour or bad at all and it actually looks like break material more than anything but it still got me worried because I have never seen this before. What do you guys think?

I was going to add some gelatin and cold crash it to see if it drops out. What would you do?

exactly that. If it doesn't taste/smell bad i wouldn't worry too much, but I've never seen that before either.

Did you use a strainer when you transferred to your primary?

Yes I did. I pour through a huge pasta strained into my bucket.

Yes, looks like yeast to me, I wouldn't do anything to it until it is done fermenting. :mug:

...and when it IS done, you likely won't have to do anything to it either, since the yeast will settle to the bottom.
