I accidentally activated the wrong pack of Wyeast last night and it's now all puffed up. I wasn't going to use that until next weekend, can it wait the 11 days, or is this pack a waste?

I've smacked the wrong pack and it set around puffed for 2 weeks at room temp. I'd make a starter though.

I did the same thing.

I ended up not having any flasks to get the starter going (and all my gallon jugs were being used for apfelwine).

If you don't have one, for the short term, a 2 liter soda bottle with an airlock worked just fine (and is easy to oxygenate).

Just toss it in the fridge and it will be fine. I don't even smack my Wyeast packs. It's just a little nutrient and some sugar in the bubble in there.
