I just picked up 4 oz of whole Newport hops from my fahbs( Far away home brew shop). The guy said these just hit the market and are awsome. Boasting a 9.8 AA and look deep green with tons of (lupulin ?) glands. Has anyone used these? Also picked up 4 oz of Magnum, Simcoe, Chinook, Centennial, Horizon, Amarillo. Time to brew.:ban:

Must be really new, no 1 has even heard of these? Sweet a new brewing adventure awaits.I'll cut the path.

Did some research . Actually developed in 2000 as a high resistent mildew hop. Not released to craft brewers untill recently. Boasting anywhere from 8-17 % AA good for bitter or aroma imparts earthy, spicy, floral hints and can be substituted for chinook, Magnum, Galena. It's a cross of Hallertaur, Magnum. Rogue makes a wet hop ale with all Newport hops. Someone has to of had it?
