I am thinking about adding a flow meter into my brew process to control how much wort and water is being transferred. I am wondering if anyone has ever done this before, and if there would be problems with the flow meter getting stuck. I have ordered ZD1200 Flow Sensor and I am hoping I can place it before or after the pump. If not I will just place it on my inlet water.

I've thought about this for equalizing my fly sparge, but I've never found a reasonably priced one that is rated for at least 170F. Don't know how expesive this is, but it's rated for 176F, pretty close, and they recommend not using it above 113F. Love to hear if it works if you decide to go for it.
