It's a good smell though. This Sam Adams Ale Clone brew is my 8th beer it is bubbling away like mad and my room smells good malty and hoppy this is the first time it smelled this strong. Is this normal? It's a good smell not a bad smell. So I'm not really worried about contamination but was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Looking at your previous brews listed I would guess the Sam Adams clone has a higher hop rate than any of the others - mebbe this is contributing to that heavenly aroma?.

Voodoochild7, I've got the same beer in my primary's. Made 15 gal. This is the first try at this recipe. I'm not getting a strong smell though. I used the WL east coast ale yeast. Is that what you used?
