Is there anything wrong with buying and crushing your grain to prepare for a brew the next day?

I guess I'm concerned about efficiency being affected or some other chemical change taking place while the crushed grain sits for 18 hours or so.

Same here, have my LHBS crush mine as I don't have a mill, and have ordered kits from NB precrushed and have brewed 2 weeks or so later. No issues that I can tell.

Crush while your strike water is heating :) Or I measure hops and crush night before. Cheers

I used to hate crushing my grain with my hand crank barley crusher. I got tired of it so I motorized it and now a 10lb grist bill takes a couple of minutes and it's fun to watch.
