I recently heard somewhere that using Iodophor to sanitize a corny keg is not a good idea as it is harmful to stainless. Is this true? I have never heard of this before and, as I use Iodophor, I am concerned that I should not be using Iodophor in the future.

I know for a fact bleach is bad for stainless. Pretty sure Iodophor is safe though.

You've heard wrong. There are other sanitizers I wouldn't use. But Iodophor is perfectly safe on stainless.

Kinda/sorta/barely related question: what is the shelf life of a bottle of iodophor?

In the concentrated form, if kept in a cool, dark place with the cap on, years. Diluted, a day max.
