I brewed a batch of oatmeal stout on Saturday with a OG of 1.053. I cooled to 68 deg. and pitched Safale S-04 at 8pm, and attached a blow off tube in case fermentation went crazy.

So I got up in the morning and peaked through the hole in the bucket. I didn't see any krausen; the surface was clear like it was just out of the brewpot. I didn't see any activity for a couple days, so I decided to pull the lid off to give it a stir. That is when I say a layer of yeast on the bottom of the bucket. Checked the gravity and it read 1.015.

It seems like this batch fermented out completely within 12 hours. I didn't see any sign of fermentation on the lid or blow off tube. Kinda weird... anyone seen something like this before?
