My little sis is getting married in about 8 weeks and I've decided to try and create her a "Honey Moon" brew.

Anyone know of a good "blue moon clone" and do you think honey would go well with it?

thanx

Extract or All Grain?

Honey will add alcohol and create a dryer flavor, but it takes longer to complete fermentation. 8 weeks should be enough though. You might consider adding a 1/2 pound of honey malt instead.

Oh yeah...my sig has a pretty decent clone for Blue Moon (AG and Extract).

haven't made it but BierMuncher's recipe has gotten quite a bit of buzz...

Also, I've never used honey malt but I used honey in a couple brews not to long ago. What I found was that it needed some more hop bitterness to hide the honey sweetness. And I don't know if that would work well in a blue moon clone.

So, I'd use honey malt if you were to do this.

Good luck!

Let us know how it goes
