"Giant"?!?! Like this?

Are you looking for stainless steel or plastic. If you're not looking for too "Giant" then Toledo Metal Spinning has SS hoppers that you can fabricate into very nice conical. See Yuri Rage's conical build. If you want commercially built SS and have the $, Used Brewery Equipment Specialists - North American Brewing Systems has all kinds of used equipment coming in and out but the smallest I've ever seen was a 4 barrel fermenter that they would piece out. If you want plastic go with the aforementioned USplastics. I saw a ~45gallon plastic fermenter that worked well for the brewer.

dont forget we have a sponcer here who sales conical on the cheap. they are plastic and for 15 gal is 60 bucks

Say I get something thats food grade plastic? will that have any affect on the beer or temp of the beer. planning on creating a lager or does it just come down to preference and price?

First of all how big is "giant"? and second... how are you planning on cooling a "giant" tank down to lagering temp?

Most commercial ferm tanks of any real size are stainless steel and jacketed with are then electronically cooled with an automated glycol pump.

If you're not going to go with a fully jacketed tank, you would need to cool the tank itself down to lagering temps and again... depending on what you mean by "giant" will dictate how you're going to have to pull that off.

Can i take a tank food grade plastic tank and cool it down for lagering temp?how would i accomplish this?

It depends on how giant of a tank you're talking about. If you're talking something like... maybe 15 gallons.. which isn't "giant" by any stretch, you can simply put it in a refridgerator wired wtih a temperature controller. Anything bigger than that and you have to either built a refridgerator big enough so that it'll fit whatever size you're talking about, or you have to jacket the tank... meaning you will need to wrap it with some sort of mechanism that will circulate chilled coolant around the outside of the tank, cooling the whole thing down.

Also... how are you planning on cleaning this thing? Again... you haven't said how big "giant" actually is.

If he gets a really, really big fridge, I'd guess he can squeeze about a 100 gallon fermenter inside.

I've been keeping my eyes open, watching on Craigslist for one of these for years....
