Wasn't sure where this should be posted on HBTalk, but just wanted to put out a pitch for the 2nd annual Beer4Beasts event in Brooklyn, NY on March 31st of 2012.

The event is a collaboration between BeerAdvocate magazine and the Sixpoint Brewery. Sixpoint put out a call on facebook for anyone interested in collaborating and a number of small breweries and homebrewers were invited to Brooklyn to brew one-off batches of beer for the event. My pal and I were invited up to make a batch of our experimental Sumac Wit which will be on tap during the event.

Nearly 40 one-off beers will be available for tasting along with food and entertainment. There are two sessions for afternoon and evening, tickets are about $65 including fees and all proceeds go to the Humane Society.

Tickets are selling very fast, so I thought I'd post this for anyone who may be interested. Check the website links below for more info.

BeerAdvocate and Sixpoint join forces to host the second annual Beer for Beasts charity event showcasing creative beers, food and entertainment, all in the name of compassion toward animals.

Beer for Beasts will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at The Bell House (149 7th Street), located in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn in New York City. All proceeds to benefit The Humane Society of New York City.

Last year's Beer for Beasts raised nearly $30,000 to directly aid the better treatment of animals.
