....Only to have crushed grain show up in my order yesterday.

I've been getting about a 10% efficiency increase on brewday using my crush vs. theirs, so my recipe will end up being a little light with their crush.

So my question is: Should I run their crushed grains through my mill?

It's 10lbs of Pale and 1lb of Crystal 60.

Thanks!

If you batch sparge and you trust your lautering system not to get stuck, go ahead.

Note that that second run through the mill will produce a very fine grind. It might come out powdery. And since the husks will be pulverized, a stuck sparge is a real concern. I had a stuck sparge once and it was a brewday disaster.

If it were me, I'd accept the lower efficiency and just go with crush as it is.

I'd recrush it, but I have not had a serious problem with my manifold. If you trust yours, go ahead, otherwise accept a bit of efficiency loss on this batch and brew it up as-is. Just need to use a bit more is all.
